PELATIHAN MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING 2024

PENDAHULUAN:

  • Pelatihan medical image processing (pengolahan citra medis) ini sangat penting bagi mahasiswa yang akan atau sedang mengambil skripsi atau tesis. Pelatihan ini akan memberikan fondasi yang sangat kokoh tentang teknik-teknik dalam pengolahan citra, serta memberikan inspirasi tentang tema-tema penelitian terkait dengan pengolahan citra, terutama citra medis.
  • Pelatihan ini juga sangat bermanfaat bagi kalangan profesional, terutama Fisikawan Medis, Spesialis Radiologi, Software Programmer, dan lain sebagainya.

 

MATERI:

  1. Pengenalan dan penanganan citra medis dengan format DICOM.
  2. Teknik-teknik peningkatan kualitas citra medis (seperti penurunan noise, meningkatkan kotras, menghilangkan artefak, dll).
  3. Teknik-teknik segmentasi citra medis untuk berbagai keperluan medis (misalnya untuk segmentasi organ, segmentasi tumor, dll).
  4. Teknik-teknik menampilkan citra medis seperti windowing, menampilkan potongan citra aksial, sagital, koronal, 3D, dll.
  5. Teknik-teknik penggabungan citra dari berbagai modalitas (mislanya CT dengan MRI) atau substraksi citra (misalnya untuk deteksi pembuluh darah), dll.
  6. Teknik-teknik perhitungan parameter-parameter fisis dalam kualitas citra, misalnya pembuatan kurva PSF, MTF, dll
  7. Dan teknik-teknik lain dalam pengolahan citra medis.

VISITING LECTURE DI KYUSHU UNIVERSITY

Pada tanggal 24 September 2024 telah dilakukan Visiting Lecture di Kyushu University, Jepang, oleh Dr. Choirul Anam. Lecture ini diikuti oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Division of Medical Quantum Science, Department of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University, Japan. Anam menyampaikan kuliah dengan judul: Development of automated method for CT image quality assessment from various phantoms.

HILIRISASI INDOQCT

Pada tanggal 15 Agustus 2024, telah dilakukan penanda-tanganan hilirisasi IndoQCT antara Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) dan PT Quarta Medika Indonesia (QMC). Penanda-tanganan tersebut dilakukan di Hotel Aruss Semarang.

IndoQCT and IndoseCT for CT Image Quality and Dosimetry Measurements

 

The Summer Course in Medical Physics 2024 is organized by the Department of Physics, Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics (FSM), Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. The Summer Course is a seven-day online activity that will expose the participants to knowledge and skills in image quality measurements of computed tomography using IndoQCT and IndoseCT software. Moreover, its quality performance is also compared with dose measurements to ensure optimal future computed tomography (CT) scanning protocol. In brief, the summer course will cover various practical measurement skills as follows: computed tomography dose index volume (CTDIvol), size-specific dose estimate (SSDE), dosimetry for CT with tube current modulation (TCM) technique, CT number consistency, CT number uniformity and homogeneity, CT number linearity, noise image and noise power spectrum (NPS),  spatial resolution (visual observation, modulation transfer function (MTF), and task transfer function (TTF)), low-contrast detectability (LCD), slice thickness, CT alignment, gantry tilts, and advanced image quality on clinical patient images. THE 2024 PHILIPPINE CONFERENCE ON MEDICAL PHYSICS

The 2024 Philippine Conference on Medical Physics will be held at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, Nivel Hills, Cebu City on 10-11 May 2024. PCMP is the premiere conference on the field of medical physics in the Philippines organized by the Society of Medical Physicists in the Republic of the Philippines (SMPRP). It aims to gather medical physicists nationwide to talk about recent developments in the application of physics principles in medicine (https://www.smprp.org/projects/pcmp-2024:-harnessing-medical-physics-for-advanced-patient-care).
